On July 19th, 2008, Denise was awarded a regional Emmy for her film score composed for her documentary, The Handjian Story: A Road Less Traveled. The film score included a special recording of the song, "A Road Less Traveled" co-written with Janis Tunnell and performed by Denise Gentilini and John Hoke. She was thrilled and honored to have competed against a song written by Vince Gill and Jimmy Webb. Denise is currently working on her newest CD which will include songs she has written over the past 25 years with such talented collaborators as Lisa Nemzo, Janis Tunnell and Robbyn Kirmsse. This CD will feature local singers from Denver, Colorado as well as Los Angeles and will culminate in a concert to be held in a Denver venue..
